Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz were the best of friends, and the F1 world drooled over the camaraderie. While the duo is still the closest pair of friends on the grid, the latter departed as Norris’ teammate to wear Ferrari reds. Lando, who was Charles Leclerc‘s Twitch buddy, went on to his stream to accuse him of stealing his teammate. And now Charles has once again found himself in a similar situation with another Briton, George Russell.

The all-British driver lineup at Mercedes comprising George Russell and Lewis Hamilton has only seen the team’s worst days together. And perhaps the downtime is what’s brought them together. The duo who are often spotted praising each other may be separated if the Ferrari rumors are true. But with the rumors becoming a laughingstock between drivers, a protective George Russell has called out Charles Leclerc, who is in the past, has also committed such thievery.

During the media day, Charles and Lewis found themselves in the same lot of drivers being interviewed. A journalist asked the Monegasque driver about the speculations surrounding him getting a new teammate to which a cheeky Leclerc smiled and looked at Lewis calling out his name. While this was hilarious in itself, Georgie has taken it a notch higher.

Russell, who has a good sense of humor, went on to leave a comment on the video that was posted by the official Instagram account of F1. He wrote, “Don’t steal my teammate bro!!” and the social media went berserk over the funny comment seeing George not wanting Lewis to go and calling out the Ferrari driver.
