Tiger Woods’ 2019 Masters Comeback Had Lewis Hamilton Make a Special Demand From Hollywood

Lewis Hamilton has quite an eye for a suitable subject for a Hollywood movie. Now he is working as a producer for a racing-themed movie with superstar Brad Pitt. However, a few years back, he had quite a movie idea when he saw Tiger Woods make a comeback and win his 15th Master’s Tournament.

After a long hiatus because of injuries and personal problems, Tiger Woods came back to playing competitive golf. There were doubts if he will ever win a major tournament again given his age. After all, many youngsters had stamped their authority in the sport by then. However, Tiger once again silenced his critics after winning the 2019 Masters.

Watching Tiger take his 15th Major title left Lewis Hamilton awestruck. Speaking with Sky Sports, Lewis said, “I did see some of the highlights and it was quite emotional to watch just knowing his journey, where he started and the things he has gone through.”

“I had the pleasure of meeting him last year at Wimbledon for the first time and I’d always wanted to meet him,” he continued. “Before that he had sent me a flag from one of the holes when we were both with one of our sponsors. I was really proud to see him up there just showing everyone that you should never give up, keep pushing and keep believing in yourself.

“It’s now time for a movie – it’s a perfect movie! So I look forward to seeing it.”

Hamilton’s life isn’t any less inspirational on its own. Having risen against all odds in a family with limited means and enduring racism growing up, he has seen it all. From that, becoming a record-equalling 7-time world champion requires a movie of its own. But who would play him in a movie? Lewis told his choice in an interview last year.

While Hamilton’s journey deserves a movie of its own, there aren’t many actors who look like him. In an ideal world, we as fans would love to see him play himself in the movie. But he has his eyes set on one actor and honestly, we don’t disagree with his choice.

In a promotional video for IWC Schaffhausen and Esquire, Lewis told, “Who should play me in a movie? It’s difficult because you have to find someone that looks like you. I don’t know any actors that I can say that looks like me. Maybe I’ll say someone like…. Michael B. Jordan for example, would be cool. But he’s much bigger and probably won’t fit in the car. So he’d have to slim down but I like his acting at least.”
