With the announcement, F1 fans remain unsurprised, and some, disappointed. Few stated their disbelief with Mazepin, others were of the opinion that Schumacher deserved the pending Alfa Romeo seat.

A better 2022 season for Haas

Jokes aside, many hoped for a better season for the American team. After what looks to be a point-less 2021 season, Haas remains on the bottom of the grid. Further, Mazepin and Schumacher continue to fight for the bottom two positions.

As their worst season nears its end, fans hoped that with the money and experience the team has banked in this season, 2022 will be brighter for Haas.

Guenther Steiner looked for continuity with the team as they face the new 2022 season. Steiner is sure of improvements and so are the drivers. Mazepin shared his excitement about continuing with the team. ” To get the opportunity with Haas F1 team and grow together with them. I think we will come out strong next year.”

Mick Schumacher shared the sentiment; the new technical regulations give the driver something to hold on to. “I believe this is something that will bring us closer to the field in the 2022 season and we will be able to fight for points.”

As Haas gets ready for the next season, both drivers have the remainder of 2021 to gain all the experience they need. After that, it’s game time.
