The Mercedes Formula One team has dominated the grid ever since the turbo-hybrid era began back in 2014. Now, as we head into the new era of racing, the Silver Arrows are determined to hit the ground running and show the racing community that their dominance in the sport wasn’t just a fluke.

The team’s technical director, James Allison, has stated that the new season is an opportunity.

The Brackley-based squad has ruled the grid since 2014, winning seven drivers’ titles and eighth constructors’ championships. Now on the verge of entering a new era of racing, the Silver Arrows want to prove to everyone that whatever they have achieved in the sport wasn’t by luck.

As quoted from Motorsports.com, Allison said, “At Mercedes, we see the new rules as an opportunity to show that the past few years have not been a matter of chance and that the dominance of recent years has not been a fluke.”
