As the country limps back to normalcy, Ferrari has announced a slew of measures to assist its workforce when they return.  Ferrari will conduct tests for its employees and aid direct family members affected by the epidemic.

The Italian manufacturer aims to introduce its health project, titled- “Back on Track”. The Scuderia hopes to kickstart the project with the opening of its offices in Maranello and Modena.

The company is also introducing an app for employees to monitor health and well-being. If an employee tests positive, authorities can then use the app to keep track of the employee’s contacts.

The Italian team will provide free insurance to infected employees and assistance where required. Furthermore, the team will provide the necessary medical equipment to those affected.

The next stage involves the voluntary screening of Ferrari employees with blood tests to check their state of health in relation to the virus.

This service is available for extension to the ‘Ferrari Community’, that is to any interested cohabiting relatives of employees, and to the staff of suppliers present in the Company.

In the last step, each worker is offered the opportunity to use an App, to receive medical support in monitoring the symptoms of the virus.

F1 teams unite in battle against Coronavirus

Several F1 teams have shifted focus towards manufacturing medical aids in their respective factories. Mercedes successfully manufactured a crucial medical device and made details of the invention public as a sign of goodwill.

Historically, teams would have been battling it out for wins and points at this stage. Now, at the time of a crisis, rivals have come together to defeat the virus.
