The second Sakhir Grand Prix will not see Lewis Hamilton fighting for another win. It is reported that Lewis Hamilton has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be racing this weekend. Meanwhile, there are doubts regarding his presence at the Abu Dhabi race as well.
As per the FIA COVID-19 protocols, he will have to report a negative coronavirus result to return to the paddock. According to the protocols, he is now isolated from the rest of the drivers. All contacts have also been declared and FIA and Formula 1 are working towards limiting its impact to this weekend’s race.
So, the question is, who will replace the seven-time world champion this weekend? The reports suggest a couple of names that could take Hamilton’s place this weekend. Stoffel Vandoorne and Nico Hulkenberg could get a chance to prove themselves by driving the Silver Arrow.
