Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc have had a great relationship ever since the duo were paired for Ferrari this season. Proving to be an impressive duo, both on and off the track, Sainz and Leclerc have won the hearts of the Tifosi and more.

Recently, the duo sat down with GQ ahead of the US Grand Prix, discussing all things F1. In conversation with the drivers, the interviewers recalled a moment from the British GP press conference. Sainz and Giovinazzi were asked if pineapple on pizza was the right way to go. Remembering the interaction, Sainz said, “I was affected by it.”

The Spaniard who now lives in Italy explained the nightmare situation. “If you ask an Italian what you would never put on a pizza, they would first say pineapple, and second: chicken. So pineapple and chicken on a pizza, you’re killing them. You’re doing something you shouldn’t.”

Giving his audience one final warning, Sainz chided, “don’t go to Italy and ask for a chicken pineapple pizza, because then you’ll have a serious problem.”

Sainz explains Ferrari ‘bromance’ with Leclerc

Carlos Sainz is the other half of F1’s favorite bromance – Carlando. GQ asked Sainz if his relationship with Leclerc is comparable to the one he had with Lando Norris.

The Chilli answered, “Bromance is a strong word, but we are getting on very well, having a lot of fun away from the racetrack and even on [it].”
