Hollywood Megastar Will Smith Once Pulled an Ultimate Prank on Lewis Hamilton To Capitalize on “Once in a Lifetime Opportunity”

Apart from being one of the most popular personalities in Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton is also a very renowned face all around the world. The man with an ample amount of followers globally made sure he gets recognized by top people, thanks to his incredible seven F1 world titles. However, his extreme popularity made him fall prey to one ultimate prank once in 2018, and that too isn’t by any other man. It was by Hollywood megastar Will Smith.

Smith, the Hollywood hotshot, once arrived at the Yas Marina Circuit with Michael Bay to pull the prank on Hamilton. The Mercedes driver, who was all busy with the last race of the season in Abu Dhabi alongside Valtteri Bottas, didn’t have any clue what was about to happen to him later on.

In association with ‘The Transformers’ maker, Smith managed to get hold of Hamilton and managed to tie him to a chair. While describing the Silver Arrows ace why he’s doing this to Hamilton, Smith said, “Here’s the deal. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, man.”

The ‘Bad Boy’ famed actor further went on as he was wearing the white Silver Arrows suit, “You’ve already won, man. You’ve already won. Save stuff for other people. You black. I’m black. Ain’t nobody gonna know the difference.” As Smith was about to leave with his helmets on, Hamilton spoke up, “You better win.”

After this, the Hollywood actor went on to shake hands with the engineers and then raced with the Mercedes W09. According to the prank video, Smith finished the race and did some doughnuts until he was apprehended. The video ends with Smith in handcuffs! The Hollywood actor, later on, posted the entire clip on social media, and the fans absolutely loved it.

After the 38-year-old won the United States Grand Prix in Austin in 2017, he lit up a cigar to celebrate his victory. As the win brought him a step closer to his fourth F1 title, he celebrated his victory after getting inspired by Smith’s movie Independence Day.

Talking about this, Hamilton said to The Express, “I guess it’s like that movie Independence Day and they had a cigar to celebrate victory.” The current seven-time world champion further shared, “I thought it was kind of neat, but they taste disgusting.”

From imitating Will Smith to having a chance for a cameo alongside Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick, Hamilton has come a long way. However, the Silver Arrows ace has declined the offer as he prefers to give F1 all the time he can. As of now, he can only think of taking the eighth world title, because why not?
