After Lewis Hamilton, Daniel Ricciardo became the next F1 driver to attend the Met Gala. Daniel Ricciardo got star-struck by Anne Hathaway that even the Honey Badger could not restrain from boasting about the experience. However, the boast came just hours after confessing how overwhelmed he was by Anne Hathaway’s 6 magical words that she said to him. What exactly is Daniel Riccardo’s boast all about?

The Australian F1 driver’s three-piece tuxedo was designed by Thom Browne. The theme for this year’s gala honored the Late Karl Lagerfeld. While Daniel Ricciardo at the gala took everyone by surprise, the spotlight moment for the F1 driver was when he was engaged in a conversation with the land that never ages, Anne Hathaway. The Hollywood superstar said ” I’m a huge fan of F1″

In a recent video uploaded by GQ, Daniel Ricciardo is seen talking about the experience of meeting Anne Hathaway and explaining how overwhelmed he was with that experience.

According to the video, Daniel Ricciardo said, “It was a pretty awesome experience. I was certainly nervous. I was just more overwhelmed by Anne Hathaway. She shouted me out and I was like ohh. I was really flattered and really cool. I was caught a bit off guard. Maybe I should’ve actually been like, hey how are you rather than like thanks, I’m flattered.”

Hours after suggesting how he was overwhelmed by Anne Hathaway, Daniel Ricciardo gave insights about how and what exactly happened. According to the Video uploaded by ESPN, Daniel Ricciardo said, “I mean, it was, I was just taken aback because it was, I was just like kind of patiently waiting in line for the whole photography thing and then uhh, yeah, it was more he reaction and I was like huh what, what just happened. So I was really just stunned.”

Boasting about Hathaway saying her name out loud, Ricciardo said, “We can believe what we wanna hear. She definitely said my name and then it was like I’m a big fan of F1 but there were heavy brackets Daniel Ricciardo.”

However, Met Gala was not the only event where Ricciardo was spotted recently. The Honey Badger, while fulfilling his Red Bull duties at Wings for Life charity, was seen doing a Shoey, however, for a different cause.

Christian Horner on doing a Shoey out of Ricciardo’s shoe at the Wings for Life charity event

7 years after his last Shoey, Christian Horner was asked to do another one out of Daniel Ricciardo’s shoe at the Wings for Life charity event. Someone obliged to donate a handsome amount asking the Red Bull TP to do another Shoey. Horner could not refuse. However, he was thankful for the fact that it was not a used sweaty shoe like Malaysia 2016.

According to Speedcafe.com, Christian Horner said, “You would have thought he’d have given them up by now. But it was for the Wings for Life charity and somebody very kindly donated US$15,000 to drink out of his shoe. It’s such a good charity that you couldn’t refuse it. At least there was a subtle difference on this occasion. Thankfully, it was a new shoe,” added Horner.
