In the midst of all the good news for Aston Martin, a piece of information surfaced that might be detrimental to the team. Following the second practice session, Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll was questioned over his participation in the upcoming season opener. His injury has caused anxiety among F1 fans on Twitter, who are asking the FIA how such an incident could possibly be permitted.

After undergoing surgery for his broken wrist, which he had sustained in a cycling accident during the preseason testing, the Canadian made his way back to the driver’s seat. The 24-year-old had to miss all three days of the preseason testing due to the seriousness of his condition. In order to replace Stroll, the team selected Felipe Drugovich during the testing days.

Many believed Lance Stroll was perfectly fit when he returned after his minor surgery. Though the precise nature of the damage has not yet been disclosed, some rumors claim that the Canadian driver may not compete in the opening race due to the severity of the injury. And before participating in the practice session Stroll himself provided updates on his injury.

AS per MSN.com, he said, “It was frustrating not to be out in Bahrain for the pre-season test and I was disappointed to miss the three days of running. However, given the injury to my wrist, the team and I felt it was best to focus on recovery so that I would be ready for this weekend and the long season ahead.

Although the 24-year-old cleared all his medical tests to participate in the practice session at Sakhir. But, the most recent clip shows how serious the 24-year-injury old’s is. In a recent video that has surfaced online, we can see how Lance Stroll was having trouble getting out of his car. The F1 fans quickly assessed the entire scenario after seeing the clip, and they have now asked that the FIA intervene.

Though it was evident that Lance Stroll was enduring pain throughout the race, he kept going at it as he wanted to make a mark on the newly resurged AMR 23. At one point he was turning the steering just with his left hand to ease out the pain. It is also understood that. over the years, FIA has increased driver safety regulations. And today, when fans saw how Stroll was feeling, the fans appeared perplexed as to how the ruling body could have permitted such things. Stroll, though experiencing pain, successfully finished in the sixth position in both sessions. But when Stroll answered that he couldn’t move the wheel properly on being asked by his race engineer Ben Michell to adjust his racing line into the first turn, it indicated the severeness of the injury. That also gave us a hint as to how uncertain his participation in the British Grand Prix is.

Nevertheless, we remain hopeful that Stroll will soon fully recuperate and return to action.
