Ferarri ace Charles Leclerc in a recent interview stated that he is not the best when dealing with a ball. While he might be a beloved figure in motor racing, his football skills somehow manage to embarrass him. Charles Leclerc, outside the realms of F1, is a very charismatic and hearty guy. He never fails to display his funny persona and the ability to turn into a viral meme.

Leclerc also had a wonderful season last year despite being outpaced by his teammate, Carlos Sainz. The Monegasque stood 7th in the 2021 driver’s standing.

However, he has recently shown promising results in his new car during the pre-season testing at Barcelona. The 24-year-old completed a total of 203 laps and also managed to take the fifth-fastest lap of testing.

Charles Leclerc is not very fond of football

Leclerc occasionally plays football and states that he really doesn’t have a talent for it. Unsurprisingly, he comically replied, with an immediate “No” when asked if he has any gifts for football. However, he is very good at boxing and many other sports. He further also claimed that he loves music and loves playing piano, something his fans are often treated to on his social media.

Charles recently played for an AIDS charity match in Monaco and posted a photo of the same. The Ferarri driver has previously also played for charitable causes alongside the then-teammate Sebastian Vettel and the legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. He has also scored in a few matches, a fun contrast to his recent claim of “My football skills, unfortunately, didn’t improve at all…”.

Charles said he was optimistic about the new season ahead and was glad about the team completing the most laps. However, he clarified that jumping to conclusions is not okay at this stage, as teams are often not showing their true strengths. He stated that it’s never known how much fuel is present in a team’s tank and their final day performance could be different.

Leclerc was positively happy about the team not facing any major issues. He further added that they had impressive progress over the course of three days. Moreover, the increased weight of the car is going to be a key point for this season. Furthermore, Leclerc was looking forward to the next testing, which is in Bahrain from March 10-12.
