It is quite common to witness drivers in Formula One committing amusing actions on and off the track. For instance, there is the incident where Daniel Ricciardo kicked Carlos Sainz in the groin while the latter was busy in the middle of an interview. Lando Norris was right beside Sainz as he watched the Spaniard chasing after the Australian to get his revenge.
Apart from that, there are also a lot of equally laughable moments that take place during press conferences and on team radio. Well, here’s another such hilarious incident that’s come to light involving the same Ricciardo, but with George Russell on the other side.

“So, the funniest thing that’s probably happened during an F1 weekend was Brazil 2019. We’re on the driver’s parade. It was a pretty windy day and I remember coming into the final corner and Danny Ric’s cap blew off in the wind and I caught it and I didn’t know what to do with it,” the Briton said.

“So, I thought it would be funny just to throw it out on the track and I felt really guilty because the safety car behind ended up having to stop and collect Danny Ric’s cap because obviously was about to go racing, so, yeah! I had a giggle to myself after that.”
