The young British driver is one of the most famous drivers on the grid currently. But he also has to deal with his fair share of negativity on social media. He claims people are just wasting their time by sending him death threats.

“I get death threats every now and then. Most people do. Not enough gets done, and it is tough. If I had seen the threats when I started in 2019, it would have had more effect, but now I understand when you have to laugh–not laugh at a death threat–but laugh at the silly comments people come up with and things they try to create to get attention,” said the McLaren driver.

Luisinha, who is a model by profession, and Norris, made their relationship public last year. But in a surprising revelation, the McLaren driver mentioned the trolls are even targeting her.

“Whether it’s about my personal life, me and my girlfriend, especially the amount of hate pages dedicated to Luisinha now. It is pretty horrific. They are on Instagram and Twitter, they are the main ones. Having a normal life to all of a sudden having lots of followers, she has to be more careful of what she says and does,” said Norris.

It is interesting to hear that despite embracing himself to his fans, Norris still gets this level of hate online. The young driver is one of the lovable characters on the grid, so to hear him going through this is painful.

But it once again shows which direction the social media platforms are going. Hopefully, this will all stop in the future and he and his girlfriend can have a normal life as they desire.
