Sebastian Vettel is all set to race in his last season for Ferrari. The 4-time world champion will hit the track at Spielberg, for the first time since it was announced that he and Ferrari are looking to part ways, after the 2020 season.
Now that he has shaken off the pre-season rust by testing the 2018 spec SF71H at Mugello, the German will be hoping to leave the Scuderia team on a high.
The last bit that will complete Vettel’s last season in a red racing suit, i.e his helmet, was unveiled by Ferrari today.

Ferrari reveals the helmet that Sebastian Vettel will don during his last season with them
Scuderia Ferrari posted a video clip on Twitter, where they not only unveiled the helmet but also had Vettel himself, tell us a few words about the design.
The helmet’s base color is a pristine white. It also has the colors of the German flag, running from the front to the back on the helmet.
Describing the helmet’s design Vettel said, “I think there’s not that much to say. It’s very simple obviously. I’ve got the German flag running, more or less, across the helmet. The reason being obviously, I’m German.

“In terms of the design, I like white as a color, even though maybe it doesn’t qualify as a color. But (it’s a) simple and timeless design. I think it’s as simple as it gets and probably timeless as well.
“I’m quite happy with it. On top of that, I have small gimmicks that I might add on the side, like the prancing horse or the number 5 on the other side.”
It certainly is a very elegant helmet and the Tifosi would love to see Vettel win a number of races in it. With the German’s future up in the air after this season, he’d love to showcase his class and talent to possibly bag a drive at Mercedes.

He’ll be looking to finish much higher than 5th place in 2020. If indeed, he were to leave the sport towards the end of this year, expect Vettel to give it his all. There’s nothing he would stop at in a bid to acquire the world championship crown.
