Max Verstappen has one of the most passionate fan bases; the orange army. The Orange army sometimes takes their devotion to Verstappen too far. A trio of Max fans named “Pitstop Boys” released a song named “Super Max” for the fellow Dutchman.

In a recent interview, Max spoke about the song and said, “I was always embarrassed about the song initially… it really went out of control.”

He went on to speak about the Verstappen-craze, “In Holland, it is crazy you know… the fans are really into F1.”

Verstappen also spoke about the flares at the Austrian GP, “I don’t even want to know how many flares they had to buy because it must be insane. I saw some footage from the start, like some people couldn’t even see lap 1.”

Who are the Pit Stop Boys, the geniuses behind the Max Verstappen anthem ‘Super Max’?

“Super Max” took over F1 internet in a flash after its release back in 2016. The song was released by a Dutch trio, Rob Toonen, Marco Mars and Jeroen Hilgenberg who named themselves, ‘de Pitstopboys’. Their single “Super Max” dropped to mark Max Verstappen’s first win in F1.

The song has amassed over 8.2 million views on YouTube and has become a fan favorite in no time. The trio have since then gone on to become a duo, with Marc leaving. They further gone on to expand their discography, releasing a song ‘Supermax Yohé Yohó!’ after the decisive last race of the 2021 season.

They have now started releasing songs about other drivers as well, with a song about McLaren driver Lando Norris titled, “Let’s go Lando”. The song has got nearly half a million views on YouTube since its release.

The Pit Stop Boys have definitely carved out a niche for themselves in the musical archives of F1. Hopefully, the Dutchmen, with their enthusiasm, release many more such tracks for the fans.
