Daniel Ricciardo finally made up his mind and joined the team that fulfilled his F1 dream. However, the Australian will not feature regularly on the grid. Why? Because he joins Red Bull in a reserve driver role for the 2023 season. Although there is one particular race that even the track would also like to see Ricciardo feature in.

We are talking about the newly added Las Vegas Grand Prix. The Las Vegas GP’s Twitter page made an audacious suggestion to the FIA for the race in 2023. Let us give you a recap of what went down.

Back in 2017, Ricciardo, with a few other drivers, was asked what his wish would be from Liberty Media, who had taken over the sport back then. To this, the Australian replied, “Race in Vegas.”

Now, with the fixture actually being a part of the F1 calendar, F1 Las Vegas’ office Twitter handle uploaded a photo of a mock Twitter thread. In the thread, they had started the conversation with, “throwing this out there, wildcard Vegas F1 entry for our race in 2023. Daniel Ricciardo as the 21st grid entry.”

To this FIA’s official Twitter page replied, “Umm”. The Las Vegas admin took this reply as a maybe and replied, “That’s not a no.”

Even Daniel Ricciardo replied to the tweet with, “👀”.

The Haas F1 team’s Twitter admin also joined in on the banter and replied, “told @danielricciardo that he should join haas but nooooooooo, he wants to be a red bull reserve driver.”

The reply from Haas’s Twitter page has put the mock conversation on the radar of the F1 fanbase.

The fans are reacting to the mock conversation posted online on the F1LasVegas page. The page posted a photo of the conversation with a “You’re always invited @danielricciardo” caption on their page.

However, it’s the Haas F1 Twitter page’s reply that has got the fans talking about it.
