Lewis Hamilton is a big fan of tattoos. The 7-time world champion has different and meaningful tattoos covered all over his body. He is also not afraid to flaunt them at any given opportunity and is proud of each one of them.

In an interview with GQ, the Mercedes driver revealed tattoos fascinated him since his early years. He mentioned that he first gained an interest in them at the mere age of 10.

” My sister was engaged to or ended up marrying a guy who is a tattoo artist. So I grew up from a really young age. I’m around 10 years old viewing individuals getting tattooed,” said Hamilton.

One of his more famous tattoos is on his back which states ‘Still I Rise’. This is a mantra that has served Hamilton well throughout his career and reflects in his never give up attitude.

He has recently been criticized heavily for his performances in the 2022 season compared to his teammate. But Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has come forward to defend his star driver.

The Austrian revealed that the seven-time world champion has not lost any of his capabilities and skills behind the wheel this season. He reminded everyone of his exploits late in the 2021 season, which almost won him the title.

“No, I don’t think it’s like that. He (Hamilton) is the best that has ever been. Between Abu Dhabi in 2021, dominating the last third of the season, to four months later, you are not losing your ability,” said Wolff.
