How Lewis could sense his end in F1

During a podcast, Lewis Hamilton opened up about what might push him towards hitting the ‘retirement’ button. Apparently, it’s the smile on his face. He mentioned that the moment that smile fades away is the moment he’ll call it a day.

Yes, it’s a competitive space that I’m in. But damn, I get in that car and put down the visor and the team start up the car and I leave the garage, I have the biggest smile,” he said while featuring in ‘A Formula for Success‘ podcast.

Even today, after all these years of racing. And, if there’s ever a day that doesn’t happen and I don’t get that smile, then I know that there’s kind of it’s done. I need to move onto something else.”

Lewis has had a strong run so far with Mercedes, and it looks like the Silver Arrows are not really fed up with Lewis in the team. It is just the substantial rise in his price tag that is halting the team from securing the deal.

However, it looks like the announcement of Lewis extending his stay is just days away. Hence, Lewis’s smile on his face is not fading away anytime soon.

If at all Lewis gets kicked out of F1, it looks like he might not be walking around the sport, pursuing any kinds of senior roles. With his interest in music strengthening, he might be looking to kick-start his career in music, soon after retiring from F1.

If not music, the knight might jump full time into managing his newly introduced Extreme E racing team, X44. But let’s hear it from you. Where do you think Lewis might end up after bidding adieu to Formula 1?
