Red Bull driver Max Verstappen landed himself in hot waters after he denied his team’s call on Sergio Perez. The Dutchman denied the team order to let Perez through before crossing the finish line. As the F1 world slammed Verstappen for his choice, his mother got involved in the chaos with new explicit information.

Sophie Kumpen, Verstappen’s mother, has recently resorted to social media to criticize Perez. The Dutch driver‘s mother recently accused his son’s teammate of cheating on his wife. Even though she deleted the comment after it went controversial but the internet never forgets.

Kumpen allegedly wrote, “And then in the evening cheating on his wife,” referring to the party night in Monaco after winning the Monaco GP race this year. As the video of the party night went online, Perez was seen dancing on the yacht with multiple women.

As soon as Kumpen publicly accused Perez of such, fans from all over the world started calling out her actions. The fans also slammed her over her choice to defend her son that way.

About the Monaco night, however, Perez issued a public apology to his wife later on, on social media. The former Racing Point driver wrote, “I have seen the videos that have been circulating about me and I take responsibility for it. It was a bad party that I didn’t know how to control at the height of the person that I am, but it was just that, a very bad party.”

All in all, the fans were not at all pleased with the way a world champion’s mother decided to defend his son online. Not sure if Perez cheat on his wife or not, it wasn’t a way to go about it, the fans believe.
