Lewis Hamilton, one of the most successful Formula One drivers of all time, has embraced a spurt in fan-following, thanks to his impeccable dominance in the active hybrid era. Amongst the millions of followers, here’s someone who caught the attention of the seven-time world champion.

In the ongoing Winter Olympic Games Beijing 2022, Canadian Speed Skater, Charles Hamelin, offered a tribute to his idol, Hamilton, by bringing about a similar design to his half-face helmet.

Hamelin modeled his Olympics 2022 helmet after Hamilton’s from the 2020 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where the Mercedes driver officially secured his record-equaling seventh world championship title. By gaining inspiration from the world champion’s helmet, Hamelin was also seeking his sixth Olympic medal and eventually managed to clinch it as well.
