When it comes to the driver pairing in Red Bull, Max Verstappen, and Daniel Ricciardo are one of the leading pairs in the Austrian team’s history. Alongside Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber and recently Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. The Dutchman and the Australian pair were a force to reckon with in the mid-2010s. As the duo met again in Red Bull after Ricciardo’s much-anticipated comeback in 2023, Verstappen is reluctant to allow any nonsense during their bromance session.

In a recent development, Verstappen and Ricciardo were taking part in an interview in Bahrain. The drivers and the teams are in Bahrain for the annual three-day pre-season testing. During the interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, Verstappen Ricciardo, “What job did your mother want you to have?” To this, the Australian answered, “She probably wanted me to be better at school. But now she’s happy that I am racing.”

Then the Dutchman replied, “I can understand.” The Honey Badger then followed up with, “She gets nervous, but I think she likes it deep down. She’s like my homie!” Soon after this, the Red Bull driver suddenly screamed as per Express, “Can you just shut the f*ck up?” as the background noises from the cars that were zooming past the track interrupted him.

Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo were having the interview by the side of the Bahrain International Circuit. Since cars were already there for the testing, the noises coming out of the cars interrupted Verstappen, who goes by the moniker Mad Max for having a fiery head and hence he lost his cool.

Max Verstappen set the fastest time in Bahrain testing

The two-time world champion Max Verstappen has already started making headlines in the new season. The man who is known to start from the front in the last few years has already marked his name in the time sheet.

The 25-year-old driver came out on top in Bahrain testing after the first session. He topped the chart with 1:32.959, a time that was significantly faster than P2 Carlos Sainz from Ferrari. Apart from Verstappen and Sainz, Alex Albon, Zhou Guanyu, and George Russell.

This was the first day of three-day testing in Bahrain. The testing is slated to go on for the next two days with two sessions each. As they will complete the testing, teams need to wrap themselves up for the first race at the same circuit in the first week of March.
