

Lewis Hamilton uncovered his interests in how costly F2, F3, and karting are during an appearance on the Graham Norton Show. He recently said his point is to help somebody from a less privileged family get into motorsport.
Nissan Formula E driver Oliver Rowland trusts F1 titleholder Lewis Hamilton could accomplish more to help youthful drivers attempting to get into motorsport by getting personally included.
Talking as a visitor on the Inside Electric podcast, Rowland, who claims a karting team, shared his disappointment that prominent drivers. He says, Hamilton neglect to get involved to help address the issue, including it “pisses” him off.

A year ago Hamilton condemned the expense of karting and different titles, calling attention to that more extravagant racers can “leapfrog” less very much supported drivers and said he needs to help get a “working class” talent into F1.

Lewis Hamilton appeared on the Graham Norton show in 2019. He said,” My dad spent something like £20,000 and remortgaged the house several times in the first years.”
“There are very few, if [any] working-class families on their way up. It’s all wealthy families.
“I’ve got a friend of mine who was nearly in Formula 1. Then he got leapfrogged by a wealthy kid and then his opportunity was gone. So I do want to somehow get it back to basics.”
Hamilton says his father Anthony as the “hero” of his story. While he’s “just the one that’s in the spotlight”.

2015 Formula Renault 3.5 champion Rowland has been contending in Formula E since 2018 subsequent to getting a seat in F1 while on the books of Renault and Williams finishing his own movement through the lesser positions.
“I know first-hand how much it costs to run a karting team,” Rowland said.
“It pisses me off a little bit. Sometimes when I hear people complaining about it, but then actually they’re not really doing much themselves. For example, Lewis said that people need motorsport grass roots and all this sort of stuff.

“Even if he was to put his name against three or four drivers that were doing exceptionally well, that would help draw in sponsorship for them. And that wouldn’t actually cost him anything. But it would just be a way for them to then generate a bit of sponsorship for themselves.
“Just to have him backing somebody, he could go to sponsors, he could even go to meetings with them. He’d generate a hundred thousand karting budget very quickly. Whereas without him it’s really difficult for anybody to get anything.”
