Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel had a forgettable qualifying session. The Ferrari woes continue as both their drivers were knocked out in Qualifying 2 at Istanbul Park.
Charles Leclerc in his Ferrari seemed very competitive throughout the practice session. The Monegasque was consistently in the top after 3 practice sessions.
Charles Leclerc was at a loss for words after a frustrating qualifying session at the Turkish Grand Prix. He told Sky Sports, “It was a disaster. I couldn’t stay on track.”

A disappointing session for Charles Leclerc
It was a stunning qualifying session for Racing Point and Max Verstappen as they locked out the Top-3 spots on the grid. Lance Stroll conjured a dream lap to secure his career’s first pole position.
The SF1000 started facing difficulties during the qualifying session with rain pouring down. Both Ferrari drivers were eliminated in Q2, and Charles Leclerc was in disbelief at the result.

“I have no explanation. I’m usually optimistic, but this time I don’t really understand what happened,” clarified Charles Leclerc.
The Monegasque is aware that there is a lot of work to be done for a better result at the race. He said, “I wasn’t perfect, but there are too many gaps. We have to work and understand why we struggle with the full wets. The gap is too great.”
Leclerc is hoping for a wet race tomorrow. He said, “We were struggling in the rain, and being so far off the pace is really not good. I’m hoping for a dry race tomorrow.”

Charles Leclerc is currently standing at P5 with 85 points under his belt. He is currently fighting against Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Perez for the ‘best of the rest’ title.
Leclerc starts at P12 tomorrow and will have a tough time defending his position on the table. Sergio Perez is just 2 points behind the Ferrari driver and starts at his career-best P3 tomorrow.

Ferrari also struggled under the rain in Austria as well. It seems like the SF1000 is having an exceptionally troublesome time under heavy clouds. The weather forecast for the race does not seem to paint a better picture for the Maranello-based outfit.
It looks like Ferrari is going to have yet another frustrating race this Sunday.
