“It Will Take Time”: Sebastian Vettel Warns Old-Adversary Ahead of His New Challenge

The crazy transfer saga began after Sebastian Vettel announced his surprise retirement. The German Maestro took to Instagram to reveal this news to his loyal fans. Sebastian Vettel won his first championship in Abu Dhabi and will fittingly be bringing his illustrious career to an end there. But the ex-Red Bull driver’s retirement meant Aston Martin needed to look for a replacement.
The Silverstone-based outfit wasted no time in replacing the 4-time world champion with a 2-time world champion, Fernando Alonso. The Spaniard is currently 9th in the drivers’ championship, 13 points behind his teammate Esteban Ocon.

Sebastian Vettel, warning his long-time rival, said, “The people are there, the new factory is under construction, so everything is taking shape, but it will take time. There was a huge possibility with this year’s regulatory changes, but we fell into the same trap as many others.”
“We now have these regulations until 2026, so teams that started well will have an advantage over those that started poorly. And the budget cap means that you can’t just invest money and resources to catch up,” Sebastian added.

We have seen Fernando Alonso defending on a lot of occasions during his career. However, we saw the Spaniard attacking Sebastian Vettel at Suzuka. The fight went down to the wire, with Vettel beating Alonso by 0.011 seconds over the finish line.
