Red Bull’s social media team is often hailed for putting out engaging content for fans. Be it Max Verstappen driving the RB17 in the snow in Kitzbuhel or their various on-board 360-degree POV videos, the Austrian team knows how to give its fans an adrenaline rush. However, their latest attempt at doing something out of the box went in vain.
Red Bull was the second team after Haas to reveal their 2023 car. While the excitement before the New York event was on a high, it did not continue after the launch was over. Fans slammed the team for sporting a similar livery once again, noticing only minor changes. The only big update that came out of it was the powertrain partnership with Ford that will start in 2026.

Max Verstappen & Co. fail in their attempt at getting fans excited
Ever since their car launches, most of the teams are putting out related content. Red Bull has sort of lagged behind in that department, though. They recently put out a video on Twitter with Max driving a V10 engine car. Does not sound like anything to get excited about, right? Well, he wasn’t alone in there. He had a passenger sitting behind him, getting the experience of what it was like being in an F1 car.
However, it failed to get a good reaction from fans, who were either waiting for content related to the brand-new RB19 or just did not like the way the V10 engine roared. Have a look at some reactions from Twitter.
This doesn't sound nearly as good as all the boomers say it does. It's like an angry blender.

That may be a v10 but sounds worse than a modern v6 hybrid engine. In race tune at “full beans” there would be a glorious shriek. Though to be fair there is no way they would go all out with a passenger onboard.

WE WANNA SEE THE RB19

Some fans, however, did like the sound of the V10 engine and either wished it made a comeback or was never gone.
Tell the FIA to bring back V10s or even V8s

Oh how we wish the hybrids weren’t mandated. The roar 💙. .. (I know, I know, the innovations that come out of the modern tech is great, just an old nostalgic geezer here.)

Another fan, who expected it to be an RB19, left a sarcastic comment.

After getting out of the car, Max told that he tried to push the car a little. Obviously, he could not have gone overboard, given that he had a passenger on board.
Tried to push…. A bit 😎 #redbullracing #F1 https://t.co/RlL7b89w6p

How awesome would it be to be an actual passenger and take a ride with Max in one of those double seaters?😭
