Mercedes W-12 of Lewis Hamilton has caused a lot of resentment in the Red Bull camp this season. Jos has put forward his concerns about the vastly superior car Hamilton is driving.

Notably, the Briton clinched back-to-back wins at Interlagos and Losail circuit. He marched through the midfield in Brazil like a tracer bullet and gained 25-positions throughout the weekend to win the Grand Prix. Furthermore, he finished the race in Qatar 25.743 seconds ahead of the Dutchman.

Verstappen Senior wants FIA to intervene

Former F3 champion spoke on the lines of Red Bull boss Christian Horner while addressing the issue. More recently, he urged the FIA to look into the matter of W-12’s rear wing. Red Bull have been raising this issue for quite some time now.

They suspect that the rear wing of Silver Arrows is flexing more than the prescribed limit of 85mm. Notably, Hamilton overtook Max Verstappen’s Red Bull on 58th lap at Interlagos with a relative speed of 30 km/h, which spurred this whole debate to another level.

In a recent interview with Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Jos Verstappen was vocal about the same. “This huge difference in the straights from race to race, I’ve never seen it in my life. I think the FIA ​​should keep an eye on the situation,” said Jos as reported by Formulapassion.

Jos is fine with Max Verstappen losing out on this championship if it’s a fair fight

The Dutchman made wild accusations on rival the Mercedes after the Brazil GP. Mercedes were quick to refute the claims about the steering wheel and rear wing. This battle is expected to go down to the wire in Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. Hopefully, things won’t escalate too much.
