Speaking to Planet F1 in an interview, Button said, “He has come a long way, he really has. He had a lot of insecurities in the past with racing, I remember the time he thought I’d unfollowed him on social media when we were team-mates – “Oh, I thought we were better friends than this. Jenson has just unfollowed me.” – and then he posted again saying “Sorry, Jenson never actually followed me.”

Of course, Jenson Button confessed that he still believes that Hamilton has not got rid of all insecurities. However, he is glad that his former teammate appears to be much more relaxed. In addition to that, the British superstar has begun to use his voice to truly open people’s eyes to the bigger world.

For now, Hamilton is recovering from a poor Monaco Grand Prix weekend. This weekend, he is visiting the Baku City Circuit in Azerbaijan, a track where he has won before. However, the momentum is currently with Red Bull and title rival, Max Verstappen.
