Lando Norris crashes! and funnily, George Russell kind of predicted it beforehand. He waited out a crash to take the chance of a pit stop, and it was a smart move.

Pierre Gasly, who went off the track, did not check his left rear mirror when Lando came rushing in. The crash left Norris’s McLaren with nothing and Gasly retired too.

Twitter has had a lot to say about this and it feels like Lando was jinxed. Norris who was at the podium last race hoped for a great weekend ahead. He even taunted Russell about porpoising after revealing his basketball helmet. However, nothing worked in his favor today.

The fans wanted the Brit to win or land a podium, however, things did not work out for him today. The day was dull for the Woking team overall, as Norris was not managing anything decent. This will come as a heartbreak to his fans who were really pumped.

A midfield fight was anyway tight and overtaking looked tough. Drivers could be seen going off the track here and there. From Kevin Magnussen to Lewis Hamilton, getting the right grip was rather tricky.

The tire degradation was also heavy as teams tried managing things smartly. We could say nothing with certainty until the very end. With so many lockups and rain predictions, this was anyone’s race. Red Bull, however, looked comfortable throughout, and even Ferrari managed a decent job.
