While the first title win in 2021 for Max Verstappen came at the very last moment, the one this year was more certain. The Flying Dutchman created a giant gulf of points between himself and Charles Leclerc, and the title win was only a matter of time. That time came at the Japanese Grand Prix. But now, his father and former Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen has revealed his son is not that stoked about the win this year.

Max Verstappen’s last year’s championship win was embroiled in controversy. This year, however, he has proven his talent with no asterisks. Despite being 46 points behind Charles at one point, Verstappen showed his class and won the title with 4 races still to go.

Jos continued, “But since then we haven’t talked about his world title at all. He doesn’t even talk about it himself.” [Translated using Google]
