Esteban Ocon produced a wonderful weekend for Alpine in Monaco after securing P3 in the qualifying and then converting it into a podium. The team made the right calls for Ocon with the ever-changing weather conditions. The podium was a much-needed good result for the team after the bashing from Laurent Rossi. And yes, the team did celebrate it like it was a win. 

Esteban Ocon was ecstatic about the podium and that could be heard in his radio calls and the post-race interview where Ocon said “Estie Bestie on the podium baby”. Monaco being the crown jewel of F1 always has a special place in driver’s hearts and a podium here means a lot. The podium also meant a lot as it came over a year after the Frenchman last stood on the top step of the podium in the 2021 Hungarian GP. 

Esteban Ocon recently posted a Tweet where it can be noticed that his happiness cannot be contained. The Frenchman posted photos from his road trip from Monaco to Spain as he travels for the next race in Barcelona. In one of the pictures, the P3 trophy is seen being treated like a passenger, strapped with the seatbelt onto the seat. It only goes on to show how much it means to Ocon. The caption for the Tweet is “roadtrippp 🇲🇨🇪🇸”
