Lawrence Stroll has set up the huge venture named Aston Martin F1 Team and has invested hundreds of Millions into the team. The result of the investments are now showing, but Lawrence Stroll’s personal priority is holding the venture back. As a result, F1 Veteran has urged the Aston Martin owner to get his priorities right and made a spine-chilling prophecy. What did the veteran say?

Questions have already been asked about Lance Stroll’s future at Aston Martin. Although the fact that he’s the owner’s son makes sure that he won’t be sacked, sooner or later when Aston Martin is fighting for the championship, a strong second driver will be needed. Out of Aston Martin’s 196 points this season, Lance Stroll has only contributed 47 points to that tally with no podiums to his name. Alonso, on the other hand, has 6 podiums.

In a recent podcast, David Croft urged Lance Stroll to get his motivation back. The Canadian driver drove the season opener in Bahrain with a broken toe and wrists yet put in a stellar performance, winning everyone’s heart. However, the recent slump compared to Alonso’s performance has raised many eyebrows. Crofty predicted that Lance Stroll might not be in F1 in a year and a half’s time,

According to the SkySports F1 podcast, David Croft said “I think he’s lost his way a little bit. He’s lost his Mojo and whatever has happened, Lance just doesn’t seem to be as motivated as he was at the start of the season and I do wonder if we are approaching a time when it’s the one driver on the grid that’s guaranteed a job as long as your dad is there. He then added “But I just have a little feeling that in a year and a half’s time, Lance Stroll will race his last race in Formula 1 and go off and do something else.”

Crofty went on to suggest how Lawrence Stroll will soon realize that it’s business that he’s running and that two strong drivers need to win a constructors championship. An alternate career for Lance Stroll was also suggested.

It’s a dream for many to race in F1 and Lance Stroll is amongst the lucky few. However, unless your heart is 100% into something, you won’t be able to perform very well at it. Crofty explained how Stroll wanted to become a tennis player when he was younger and was very good at it as well. He suggested that Stroll might go off and find something appealing to do, as his dad will have to make the decision to get competitive drivers in a competitive Aston Martin car.

According to the podcast, David Croft said, “I don’t think F1 was the sport he wanted to go into when he was younger. I mean he was a massive tennis talent when he was younger. One of the best talents in Canada at that time. I just wonder if he might go off and find something that fulfills him more and bring him more excitement.” He then added “And I think his dad will realize as the chairman as well that it’s business and that I need two drivers.”
