Lando of all trades, Master of none might become the new quote. Lando Norris is a lot of things apart from being a talented F1 driver. His talents include an eclectic mix such as DJing, entrepreneurship, online gaming, streaming, and golf. A true know-it-all, do-it-all.

Lando Norris is a 22-year-old Belgian-British racing driver. He joined McLaren as a test driver in 2018 after his convincing performances in F2 and F3. While he couldn’t get a look-in during his time as a reserve, he graduated to a full seat the next season to partner Carlos Sainz.

Norris also partnered with Daniel Ricciardo for 2 years, striking up a close relationship with both Danny and Carlos during their times with McLaren.

In a video in GQ’s series of 10 Things You Can’t Live Without, Lando spoke about his McLaren-Klipsch earphones. He then talked about Daniel’s music tastes and said, “The one guy I know more than anyone is Daniel. I think he knows the lyrics pretty much every song ever created.”

“Our taste of music is kind of similar. He’s not a guy who goes for super upbeat stuff too much. He’s more like chilled… Just more chilled stuff, relaxing stuff… I know him more than anyone along with Carlos but yeah Daniel’s got a good taste.”

Given the number of rumors that went around about Lando and Danny’s frigid relations at McLaren, it is cute to see Norris speak so warmly about their relationship. Competition in F1 is common, but warmth, not so much.

This GQ series about 10 things is always very interesting to watch for F1 fans. These are things you would never get to know otherwise about them.

Among the things that Lando mentions on his list are – his F1 helmet (obviously!), his Titleist golf balls and golf kit, a backpack. He also lists his Richard Mille watch, his sunglasses, and his hoodie.

But one of the coolest things that he mentions is his gaming set. Norris is an experienced online gamer. He also streams his gaming sessions. Recently, he also launched a premium gaming brand of his own named Quadrant.

In the video, he shows us his gaming set which includes an Alienware laptop and a portable gaming controller. He said, “Because I’m such a big gamer and such a big nerd. I take my gaming set with me everywhere I go. I rarely use a controller coz I am a mouse and keyboard kinda player… The only games I play currently are Halo and Escape from Tarkov.”
