Ever since his F1 debut, Lando Norris has never won a race. He has 6 podiums to his name, but the top spot remains elusive. And now going by how much McLaren is struggling, it is highly unlikely the Briton will get a win this season. The winless streak has, however, never been a testament to how good of a driver he is. Lando displayed just that as he came up with a creative idea of bringing together F1 YouTubers on the track. While we expected him to win against a bunch of novices, the concept was definitely fun.

Last month, Lando’s gaming and lifestyle brand Quadrant organized a fun event involving 15 F1 content creator YouTubers. As a picture of them hanging out together surfaced online, another F1 content creator, Toni Cowan Brown, slammed Norris for not including any female participation. However, Team Quadrant member Maria soon clarified that she was there as well, as were many other women working behind the scenes.

Quadrant recently released the video from the event where the participants, including Norris, divided themselves into 8 teams. Each team started with one driver with a scheduled pit stop for a driver change. Lando, a part of team Mario, went second and won the race after lapping everybody else on the grid. Team Luigi and Waluigi came in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Karting days are certainly among the best times Norris had grown up. To this day, he loves karting so much that he now owns a company that manufactures go-karts.

When Lando Norris took a hilarious dig at Fernando Alonso while comparing their karts’ qualities

Growing up, Lando raced for Fernando Alonso’s karting team. The partnership turned out to be a success as Norris went on to win the championship with the Alonso-owned team. He revealed that and much more in an older interview.

“The go-kart I was using at this time was Fernando Alonso kart. So Fernando helped me a little bit to achieve this. Now I have grown up and gotten Formula One; it is my opportunity to give something back, and that was to create my own go-kart,” he said.

Poking fun at Fernando’s kart’s quality, Lando told, “It is miles better than the Fernando Alonso go-kart, so that’s why this team now runs my one. We have already won a couple of races.”
