Formula 1 seasons are generally intense and can take a heavy toll on the mental and psychological health of the drivers. To keep the atmosphere light and happening around the paddock, F1 carries out certain fun activities during the race weekends. Along these lines, promoters organize a secret Santa every year. The drivers have some fun time off the grid and F1 releases the footage for fans after the season.

We saw something similar in 2021 as well, which was one of the most intense seasons in recent memory. All the drivers received their secret Santa gifts for 2021 before the last race, and it was surely a bag full of surprises. In a video released by F1, there were a lot of cheeky and thoughtful gifts for our favorite drivers to make the festivities more fun; not so much for Lando Norris though.

Kimi Raikkonen got Norris for his secret Santa and he gifted a bottle of Dry Gin to the young Brit. Norris, however, couldn’t make any sense of it. “No, I’ve never had Gin before, really. Why the hell would someone give me gin.

Lando Norris wants to get rid of his gift

Norris was not impressed by the gift and looked forward to passing it on. Lando’s initial comments after he saw the gift wrap surely indicated this. He initially guessed it to be from Mick Schumacher or Sebastian Vettel. However, he was shocked to know that it was from Kimi.

“Really! Kimi Raikkonen. I said it’s going to someone who drinks a lot because they know I don’t drink.”
