F1 is to have its first race on March 20. With free practice and qualifying to take place two days before, the drivers will have a lot of work to do. To set their focus on the real deal aside for a bit, F1 drivers including Lando Norris, took a day off. A bunch of F1 drivers took to the golf course for playtime away from the paddock.

The pre-season testing at Bahrain got over a week back. Teams have turned up, tuned in, collected data for back to back three days. Now it’s time for some leisure and what a way to spend the time.
Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz have taken part in the game along with new Williams recruit Alex Albon. McLaren driver Lando Norris, too, took part in this friendly golf competition. Charles captained a team, whereas Lando captained the other.

Albon took to his official Twitter handle to share “Another day golfing with @Charles_Leclerc, another day beating @LandoNorris,” this means that the McLaren driver has lost to Albon and co. for the second time in a row.

What’s next for Lando Norris and Co.?
As their fun time with golf comes to an end, the players go down for real business. With free practice to take place in a day’s time, drivers have headed back to their paddock. The excitement all around is phenomenal.
McLaren has finished in P4 last year in Constructor’s Championship, thanks to Lando. However, the Woking-based team will look to improve on that record and would want to go the 2020 way. The young Briton will have to do his best to make that possible along with Daniel Ricciardo.

Ferrari, on the other hand, has two resilient drivers in the form of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. The duo has helped the Italian team to fetch P3 last season, a much-improved one than their 2020 performances. With the new season, the expectations are a bit higher. The Maranello-based team looked good in the testing. It’ll be interesting to see if they can follow that up on race day.

As for Alex, it’s a good return for the Thai-British driver. The man has replaced the outgoing George Russell. Albon will partner Nicholas Latifi on the Grove-based team. Can he deliver the performances as he did for Red Bull? Only time will tell.
