Four races to go in the current season and there are still two seats to fill for the upcoming one. The silly season remains open until the final two seats at Williams and Haas aren’t occupied. However, there’s a belief that Daniel Ricciardo will not be occupying either of the seats.

The Australian mutually terminated his contract with McLaren a year early. This is a sad prospect for everyone, including Ricciardo’s teammate Lando Norris. The two have formed a formidable relationship in the past two years.

Most would say otherwise and point out Norris’s comments after Ricciardo announced his departure from McLaren. Norris said he did not sympathize with his teammate’s send-off resulting from his poor performance. This would’ve translated to trouble, but the Briton soon cleared the air surrounding his comments.

Lando later explained he was being honest about his feelings, which also gives us a glimpse into the ruthless nature of F1. The Brit made a clarifying statement specifically because some fans started suggesting a rift between the two.

This is exactly why Norris felt compelled to clear the air and let his feelings known. Norris explained there are no ill feelings between the two and they get along very well.

More than that, it’s safe to say Ricciardo and Norris are friends, keeping in mind all their off-track antics. There is plenty of back-and-forth banter between the two to suggest a rift. Far from a rift, the two even share their boredom together.

Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris share their boredom with a simple acknowledgment

The two often do a lot of fun activities together for McLaren’s YouTube page. Moreover, Ricciardo’s latest tweet and Norris’s acknowledgment of it showcase the two are joined at the hip.

Norris couldn’t help but acknowledge Ricciardo’s boredom with his tweet, which read, “Hi. Haven’t tweeted in a while. Ok.” However, this was enough to give their fanbase something to talk about.

Nice to see Lando being there for his mate as he breaks his Twitter silence. The fans on Twitter also acknowledge the bromance between the two, even though Norris doesn’t necessarily seem excited in his reply.
