It is fairly obvious that McLaren want to build their future around Lando Norris. This explains why they tabled a multi-year contract with the youngster. It also helps that he has been performing exceptionally well for the team. He grabbed a podium this year and currently sits fourth in the championship, even going as high as third at one point.

Without a doubt, many would think that he could be the next logical successor to Lewis Hamilton. As the McLaren team improves in leaps and bounds, Lando Norris will be right there to help guide the team. This once-proud team used to be world champions, and they firmly believe that Norris is their ticket back to the front of the pack.
