Recently, the Red Bull men sat down to discuss some off-topic things like a favorite pastime. Sergio Perez is a fan of golf and the Mexican loves to play golf in his free time. However, Checo admits he’s not very good at it, while Lando Norris is pretty good at it.

Max Verstappen urged to play golf

Discussing further, both Verstappen and Perez noted the Mclaren man is obsessed with golf. And apparently, Norris keeps pushing Verstappen to take on his favorite hobby, but the Red Bull has not complied so far.

This non-compliance has forced Norris to get creative to find himself some company to play golf. The Brit has placed a bet with Verstappen wherein, if Verstappen loses, he will have to go play golf with Norris.

Verstappen revealed, “I made a bet with him, I will tell you after what the bet is. So if I lose the bet I have to play golf with him.” Verstappen added, “I tried, like twice… at one point I was able to hit the ball but I mean it took two hours to have a bit of a swing. But then if you don’t follow up, start from zero again, so I didn’t have the patience.”

It’s interesting to see the lengths Norris is going to get his friend on the golf course. As much as we would like to know, Verstappen did not share any details of the bet. It all remains a mystery as we watch out for Verstappen on the golf buggy.

Now, Red Bull’s leader Verstappen is driving a much more reliable RB18 and has no sympathy for his rivals. “Of course, we had our misfortune at the beginning of the year so we knew we had to play a bit of catch-up, but it seems like now it’s more or less evened out with the bad luck,” said the championship leader.
