Lando Norris Reveals Idolizing Max Verstappen During Karting Days

While on the grid, British driver Lando Norris is a determined competitor, off the grid he is as respectful a person one can find. The young McLaren star was recently seen reviewing some of his old Instagram posts.

Norris has been on several social networking sites for a long time. With more than 5 million followers on Instagram, it’s safe to say that the Bristol boy has come a long way.

Lando Norris made his debut as a rookie in 2019. Alongside companions George Russell and Alex Albon, he was ready to take the grid by storm. In his time of almost 3 years, the star has won over many people. Initially outpaced by then teammate Carlos Sainz, Lando now leads the McLaren pack and has matured as a worthy future champion.

Lando Norris’ Birthday Post Goes Wrong as He Exposes Max Verstappen’s Adventurous Side on Instagram, Sends Fans Into a Frenzy

While going through old posts, Lando told the story behind one of his and Max Verstappen‘s childhood pictures. The picture depicts a much taller Verstappen and an adorable-looking Norris standing next to each other. Effortlessly, Norris remembered they took the picture back in 2013, when he raced in the juniors and Max dominated the seniors.

Norris spoke about how he looked up to Max in those days. He described, “Max was the kind of guy I looked up to at that stage.”

“Being so young because he basically won everything he ever did, I guess to get a photo with him here was pretty cool.”

The McLaren driver funnily described how he probably used Max’s name to get more likes on the post. Furthermore, he also revealed how he had a terrible race before the picture, and a certain team wanted him out throughout the competition. However, the 22-year-old is a European Champion himself and has a lot to be proud of.

A very self- aware Lando was happy to see how far both he and Verstappen have come. He was quick to give Max the credit of achieving so much in so little time and described the memory as a “cool throwback”.
