Ever since McLaren signed Daniel Ricciardo to line up alongside Lando Norris, the latter has often remained distant from social media and rather opted to invest more of his time and focus into F1. Well, it looks like the return of his long-term colleague, Alex Albon, has revived the cheeky Lando.

Albon will be making a stunning comeback into F1 after the brief haul in 2021, citing the inadequacy of seats in both Red Bull and AlphaTauri. However, Red Bull weren’t keen on keeping Albon idle either, and hence, initiated talks with Williams, earlier this season which came to fruition following the Dutch GP.

And ever since the news broke out, congratulatory messages have been pouring in for the Thai-Briton. Hence, thanking the friends, family, and fans, Albon posted an image on social media with a heart-warming message for the fans.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone for your messages yesterday, the support has been incredible! I’ll see you soon Williams Racing,” he wrote on Instagram.

Lando Norris trolls Albon over the Instagram post

Of course, Norris couldn’t resist exposing his cheekiness to Albon. Hence, he ended up giving a rather amusing response to the picture, which had Albon sporting a wide smile in front of the Williams Headquarters, posing with the ‘peace’ symbol.

You going to school or what?” he questioned. And obviously, the fans went into a frenzy reading Norris’ witty response.

Albon certainly needed this time-out from F1 considering his morale almost shattered to pieces after the terrible Red Bull stint. A lot of drivers, including Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris had reckoned that Albon is much faster than what the viewers witnessed in 2020.

Hence, in a bid to prove his worth, Albon will be considering the upcoming Williams stint a golden opportunity. What’s more, Williams have improved quite significantly over the years, with 2021 set to unfold their best-ever constructor’s finish since 2017.

Hence, will this upward trajectory extend into 2022 as well? Can the Thai-Briton manage to pull Williams further up the grid, possibly into the mid-field pack amidst the forthcoming new era? Well, we’ll know soon enough.
