Monaco is one of the most sought-after destinations in the world because of its rich and extravagant lifestyle. For the uninitiated, Monaco is also a permanent base for a number of F1 drivers, including Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc. The latest to join his peers is McLaren star, Lando Norris. Although this move invited some criticism initially, the 22-year-old is more than delighted with his decision.
The lavish principality lies in the bang center of Europe, making it convenient for F1 stars to travel around the continent for the various Grand Prix events. Moreover, the low tax rates and the temperate Mediterranean weather add up beautifully to make Monaco heaven for F1 stars. Norris recently shifted from Surrey in the UK to a lavish apartment in Monaco.

Though he is settling in yet, Norris seems very excited about this new move. Norris shares a great relationship with George Russell and Alex Albon, one that dates back to their junior days. While Russell still resides in the UK, Albon is a regular visitor to Monaco. In a recent interview, Norris said that he is planning on spending his leisure time with fellow drivers Leclerc and Albon.

“I know Alex is there a lot and Charles is there and already spoke to a few of them and knowing I’m going to maybe play some golf with Charles, I know he plays paddle as well which I’m getting into. So it’s nice but I’m still getting used to live there,” said Norris, as reported by FormulaRapida.

When asked about the deal, Norris says that although there is a money side to it, he values his enjoyment and happiness above everything.
“It’s nothing big, it is a new contract for sure,” said Norris. “But that’s not the biggest thing for me, I have always said my enjoyment and everything and happiness comes above all, that’s for me still the most important thing.”

Moreover, Norris believes he can be a great helping hand to his friends now that he is walking away with more money. “And with more money, I think I’m already a very nice guy when it comes to how much I help my friends. And I help them as much as possible. Whether it’s giving them opportunities, or paying for dinner, or something like it’s something I’m already happy to do,” said the McLaren driver.
