Lawrence Stroll’s Rome: Aston Martin F1 Boss Could Only ‘Dream of Competing’ Without This
Nobody can question the fact that almost all of Formula 1’s successful teams have done so incredibly well simply because they spent a lot of money. Or at least that’s what multi-billionaire Lawrence Stroll thinks.
The Aston Martin Racing Team Owner recently expressed his thoughts about the forthcoming budget cap in Formula 1.
“Without the budget cap, I could only dream of competing.“

“But this budget cap levels the playing field and also paves the way for profitability”, said the Canadian as reported by Formula Passion.
In 2021, Formula 1 imposed a budget cap, the maximum amount a team can spend in a season. This has been done so the teams with relatively less money can compete with richer teams.
Formula 1 aims to create a more ‘levelled’ grid with more fair and more competitive racing action on track.
The Budget CAP along with Formula 1’s new rules for next year’s cars should result in on-track action matching up to the objectives.

Lawrence Stroll owned Racing Point almost finished third in the 2020 season.

But Stroll is thinking long term and remains optimistic for the future despite the disappointing on-track performances.
“Everything hinges on the future. It’s not about this season, or the next one. Rome was not built in a day”
But the Canadian argued that the reason for the suffering in the current season is down to the changes in aerodynamics brought in Formula 1.

The Canadian wants the complete campus to be a hub where the entire team can come together and focus on one thing and one thing only; making faster cars.
Lawrence Stroll believes that all of this, the patience, bringing the team together as well as the budget cap is key for a Formula 1 team in its bid to become a world champion.
