Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc have had a frustrating season driving Ferrari’s SF1000. The Scuderia have faced some pertinent issues with respect to their power unit and have fallen way behind their expectations and reputation.

Nonetheless, Charles Leclerc has been right in the thick of the fight, struggling for a P4 in the Drivers’ Championship. However, Sebastian Vettel has struggled beyond reason this time around and has been marooned at P14 with barely 18 points under his belt.

In the wake of this troubling season with Ferrari, Vettel decided to jump ship to Aston Martin for 2021. Meanwhile, Leclerc was reported wishing Vettel his best with Aston Martin but clarified that he will be working hard to beat him too.

Charles Leclerc thanked the German for helping him grow as a driver and as a person. However, he said, “I am sure that we will do a good job here at Ferrari and that we will make a big step forward in the next season – and in the end, we will be ahead.”

Leclerc declared that he plans on bringing the team back to where the team deserves to be, which in his view is the first place. “I will give everything for this and this is also my dream since I was little.”
