On the podcast, Tom Clarkson asked Leclerc how he got along with the two drivers. He replied, “With Seb, it was a little bit of a different relationship. I saw him a little bit like an older brother.

“I mean, he had so much experience that it was different, it was not the same type of competition that I had with Seb than what I have with Carlos. With Carlos, we are more or less at the same age, we are so competitive with everything.

Seb had more experience, so he was a bit less competitive with everything. If I wanted to win something, he would basically let me win this thing and I would be happy, and he wouldn‘t care.

“With Carlos, it‘s a little bit different. I can see he is so, so pi**ed off if I am beating him at anything. It can be the stupidest thing and he would be so angry. Same for me,” Leclerc concluded.

It is Leclerc who has the edge over the Spaniard at the moment, as the Monegasque is head of him with 62 points under his belt. However, Sainz doesn’t worry as he has bagged a podium at the Monaco GP and is just two points behind his teammate in the standings.

Who do you think will come out on top in this teammate battle in the upcoming British Grand Prix at Silverstone? Will Charles further extend his lead from Sainz, or will the 26-year-old will take home maximum points and 0ver take Leclerc in the driver’s championship?
