Leclerc’s Manager Todt Reveals Michael Schumacher’s Incredibly Generous Side

Nicolas Todt has managed many Formula 1 drivers and currently manages Charles Leclerc and Daniil Kvyat. He has previously managed Felipe Massa, Pastor Maldonado, and Jules Bianchi as well during their respective Formula 1 careers. Interestingly, he also shares a close connection to the great Michael Schumacher.

Nicolas Todt is the son of current FIA president, Jean Todt. The Todt family has been very close to the Schumacher family and Jean Todt even recently honored Michael Schumacher with the FIA President’s Special Award at the annual FIA Prize Giving Ceremony.

Nicolas was recently asked about his memories of Michael. “We were very close to Michael Schumacher, the golden person: I was 19 and he lent me his cars to go on vacation. I was privileged to know him so closely,” Nicolas recalled.

The relationship between Michael Schumacher and Jean Todt

Jean Todt was a boss at Peugeot Sport and Scuderia Ferrari. He was involved with Ferrari from 1993 to 2009 and was present when Michael Schumacher and the Maranello based team dominated the sport.

The German superstar was involved in an unfortunate accident in 2013, just after his retirement from Formula 1. The former world champion is being treated at his home.

Jean has always spoken very highly of Michael. He pointed out that Micheal was always ready to work towards helping society.

The FIA President is usually discreet about Michael’s condition. However, he recently provided an update on Michael’s condition, stating that Michael is being treated and will be able to return to normal life soon.

Jean Todt is also enthusiastic about Mick Schumacher’s promotion to Formula 1. Michael’s son, Mick will join the Haas F1 team next season alongside Nikita Mazepin. Mick won the seat through an impressive championship-winning performance in Formula 2.

However, Mick Schumacher comes to Formula 1 with a legacy to follow. His father and his uncle have also raced in Formula 1. It will be interesting to see if the young German lives up to the family name.
