There were 2 Britons fighting for the podium places in Hungary – Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton. But the former proved to be much better on the day that counts. On Saturday, Hamilton got the Pole position and Norris managed P3. But at Turn 1 in Lap 1, Hamilton lost 3 positions and had to settle for a disappointing P4, while his compatriot went P2. And because of such heroics by the McLaren talisman, Hamilton’s nemesis has made a bold prediction about Norris’ future.

Norris has had a volatile F1 career with McLaren. But even when the car was slow, he’s done his best to extract the maximum from his car. And now that the MCL60 is as quick as the Mercedes, he’s taking the fight to the frontrunners and coming out on top. The Briton has got 8 podiums to his name but is lacking his much-awaited 1st F1 victory. But, Hamilton’s past rival, Nico Rosberg believes that a race win is in the cards for him in the near future.

On the latest episode of the Sky Sports F1 podcast, in one segment, Rosberg spoke about Norris and how mega his talent is to be an F1 World Champion. “It’s coming, that race win. Lando is like a Champion in the making,” said Rosberg in the Sky Sports F1 podcast. “He’s world-class. He’s incredible as a young driver.”

These World Champion claims might even get backed by many fans and stakeholders within the sport. Not only this, Rosberg even spoke about how McLaren is expected to do well at the Belgian GP.

The last time McLaren got 2 consecutive podiums was in 2012. And with due credit to the entire team, they have made it happen again after 11 long years. And the face driving that change on the racetrack is their 23-year-old potential World Champion. Their upgraded MCL60 too works very well on faster tracks like Silverstone and the upcoming Spa-Francorchamps.

And Nico Rosberg believes the Woking outfit can continue their streak in Belgium. “The McLaren car is the real deal, that’s confirmed now,” said Rosberg. “Of course, there’s a very extreme track change now to Spa, but we’ve seen how rapid the McLaren is on the straights, so it should be fine there as well.”
