Lewis Hamilton has defended a female Sky Sports Presenter. Naomi Schiff has been a famed name in the world of motorsports. We know her for her rather insightful inputs and adroit coverage. Moreover, Schiff has been in the F1 game for quite some time now and is known for winning the KTM X-Bow GT4 and competing in the W Series.

Schiff, one of the very few females to cover the sport, recently faced ‘gender-based’ criticism on the social media platform; Twitter. However, amidst all this, Hamilton ardently backed the Rwandan-Belgian driver.

He criticized the now-deleted tweet and wrote, “Naomi is an ex-professional racing driver & totally qualified to give her opinion as part of the Sky team. She’s been a great asset since joining & we should welcome more representative broadcasting with open arms. Still have a long way to go to change these attitudes in sport.”

The W Series Racing account also acknowledged this message. However, this isn’t the first time fans have seen Hamilton taking a stand against such social evils. We often see Hamilton speaking up for what is right.

Remarkably, few females have even accompanied several drivers on the podium, carving their names in history.

One such example is Stephanie Travers, who joined Hamilton at the podium at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix.
