Max Verstappen was the most talked about character in the F1 fraternity back when he was set to make his debut with Toro Rosso. It was Helmut Marko and Christian Horner who brought the Dutchman to the pinnacle of motorsport, and as they have nurtured the young talent well, their partnership has started giving high-yielding results. In light of this, in a recent interview with the Spanish outlet Marca, Horner made a bold claim about two top drivers of Formula 1.
The consistency from Max Verstappen and a helping hand from Sergio Perez proved to be a boon for Red Bull as it marked the first dominant season for the Milton Keynes side since 2013. The stupendous efforts of the team have made Christian Horner go vocal on many occasions.

Moreover, the dominance shown by the Dutchman made the Briton make a bold claim about 2 other drivers on the grid. According to Horner, they have only reached halfway to the level of the Dutch lion.
“I never look too far ahead, but for me, Max is way above the rest in Formula 1,” said Horner, talking to Marca.
He added, “I think we can achieve a lot more if we give him a car that matches his talent. There are only two drivers in Formula 1 who are halfway to the level of Verstappen, which are Leclerc and Hamilton.”
The entire team admires Max Verstappen, especially the team’s boss Christian Horner and, as a result, the Briton doesn’t like when his driver doesn’t get enough credit.
Christian Horner believes that Max Verstappen deserves more credit than what he gets
The Flying Dutchman displayed some brilliant moves in season 2022. He won the title while four races were still left in the season, displaying a completely dominant performance. Throughout the season, the Dutchman was found way ahead of his rivals, and in the end, he broke the record for most wins in a season, winning 15 out of 22 races.
Furthermore, he broke the record for most points in a year (454) surpassing Lewis Hamilton’s previous best.

In light of this, the team principal, Horner, backed the Red Bull driver and said, “What Sebastian has achieved places him among the greatest and most successful drivers in the sport.
