Approaching the Japanese GP at Suzuka, the 2022 F1 season is coming close to its conclusion. For the dismayed Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes, their season has been one without much to be happy about.

After a decent P3 in Bahrain at the start of this season, there have only been downs with a few seldom ups. In the 16 races since Bahrain, his best finishes have been two P2s and four P3s.
Nevertheless, Lewis is not bothered by the criticism, as he turned up at Suzuka looking happy. He was even seen goofing around and driving his radio-controlled cars and trucks in the paddocks.
Lewis is (unsurprisingly) a very skillful driver of the RC car too. An old video on YouTube shows a young Lewis, aged 7, winning the Blue Peter race (1992).
Just like today’s Lewis, the young boy was supremely concentrated and talented in driving his car.
Lewis is an immensely talented driver. You don’t win 7 world titles without being the best. Issues with the car have been one of the reasons behind his performances this year. Hopefully, next season will be different.

Hamilton might no longer be in contention to win this year’s title, but it is great to see him happy and smiling. We all hope he comes back stronger next year.
