Lewis Hamilton recently took to social media to highlight the impact of Coronavirus on the earth. The Briton posted images via Instagram which showed a clear difference of the planet before and after COVID-19. Due to the raging pandemic, several countries have imposed lockdowns which have resulted in a severe drop in pollution levels.

Lewis Hamilton urges people to change for the better

Hamilton is quite vocal in his love for animals and planet earth in general. The Briton often speaks out against animal cruelty and the lasting effects of global warming. The Briton is shedding his glamourous lifestyle in a bid to reduce his carbon footprint. Furthermore, Hamilton has adopted a vegan lifestyle.

“What’s even more crazy is, in this sad time where we are seeing deaths of over 40,000 from this virus, around 57 million people die every year according to statistics. That would mean more than 150,000 people die every day worldwide.

“We have so much changing to do, to our habits, [the] decisions we take, how we consume, all sorts. How can we truly change as a human race when we’re so stuck in our ways?

“Hopefully this global pandemic can help us all change for the better,” wrote the Briton on his Instagram story.

Recently, Hamilton compared quarantine to living like a caged animal. The Briton urged people not to support circuses or zoos.

Furthermore, the British driver has donated $50000 to charities which aid animals that were affected by the horrific bushfires in Australia.

Not many may agree with all of Hamilton’s views but Coronavirus has given the earth a chance to breathe again. With humanity showing no signs of slowing down, the planet is heading towards certain destruction.
